Meet Dr. Alexandra Dexter, ND, NMD
A Sonoma County native and graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Bastyr University, Dr. Alexandra specializes in family medicine with particular expertise in pediatrics and women's health.
About Dr. Alexandra
From a young girl inspired by a visit to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) during her sister's "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" to becoming a respected Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD), Dr. Alexandra's journey in medicine has deep personal roots in Sonoma County. Her path to healing began when she discovered naturopathic medicine as a high school student struggling with chronic health issues. When conventional treatments proved insufficient, naturopathic approaches transformed her health – an experience that would shape her future medical practice.
Dr. Alexandra built her medical foundation at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) before earning her doctorate from Bastyr University in San Diego. Today, she brings her extensive training and personal insight to a family-centered practice that spans generations – from supporting fertility and pediatric care to addressing complex health challenges across all life stages. Her particular passion lies in pediatrics, where she works with children from birth through adolescence, ensuring strong foundations for lifelong health.
Women's health stands at the core of Dr. Alexandra's practice philosophy. Rather than offering temporary solutions, she empowers her patients to understand their bodies and uncover the root causes of their health concerns. This educational approach, combined with leading-edge integrative treatments, enables her patients to achieve lasting wellness.
Now serving her hometown community at Premier Integrative Medicine, Dr. Alexandra combines the best of conventional and naturopathic approaches. Her practice embodies a deep understanding that comes from being both a healthcare provider and someone who has experienced the transformative power of integrative medicine firsthand. Whether addressing everyday health concerns or complex medical conditions, she brings compassion, expertise, and a commitment to whole-person healing to every patient interaction.
