Why I Became a Naturopathic Doctor
I have always had a deep interest and natural curiosity about medicine and the workings of the body. My high level of intrigue in the human body developed into a great respect and deep understanding of the body’s intricate processes and its ability to heal itself. I attended Bastyr University where I cultivated my passion and developed it into skillful use of healing techniques to support and encourage optimal health. I then practiced and refined my skills during my residency at Emerald City Naturopathic Clinic, a prestigious clinic in Seattle. From there my path lead me to Windsor where I started a practice and where we built our family. Through my own health struggles and those of my family, I have been frustrated with the limitations of allopathic (MD) medicine. Naturopathic Medicine has had a significantly positive impact on my own health as well as the health of my family. I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to offer this medicine to my family, friends, and patients in our community.
Over the past decade I have focused on helping people navigate through chronic diseases; whether it is Lyme, mold illness, autoimmune disease, or chronic fatigue. I am especially passionate about helping neurodiverse children to find a state of "balance" in their nervous system. I treat a wide range of neuroinflammatory conditions including PANS, PANDAS, seizure disorders, developmental delays, insomnia, anxiety , OCD, depression, and other behavioral challenges.
I would be honored to be a part of your health journey. Even if you have seen many other doctors, I will work with you to synthesize the information you already have gathered and make sense of your successes as well as any challenges you are facing. I treat every person as the unique individual that they are and specialize in putting the pieces of your health puzzle together so that it becomes a roadmap to health.
